LAHORE: (Friday, May 30, 2025): Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali inaugurated the Punjab University swimming pool after renovation. On this occasion, PU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Director Sports Dr Shabbir Sarwar, faculty members and others were present. Addressing the ceremony, PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali said that the swimming pool activity is the right of the students and they should get this facility. He said that the depth of the swimming pool will be reduced next year. He said that students should use the swimming pool facility with utmost caution. He said that for the safety of the students, the availability of lifeguards should be ensured at all times. Dr Shabbir Sarwar said that the swimming pool of PU was closed for a long time. He said that after renovation with very limited resources, the swimming pool has been made usable. He said that the swimming pool has been reopened after arranging the best safety measures. He said that more shifts have been fixed to reduce the rush of students.
